Life Lately On Instagram

I'm overly active in instagram lately. By far it's still the only social networking I'm addicted to (twitter and facebook not even close). What a waste if I didn't share these little snapshots with you because truth be told, my life is actually better documented in this app than my blog. So take note, these "Life lately on instagram" posts will be permanently recurring from time to time. Besides, they make up for a good alternative whenever I haven't any outfit post prepared, like today.

So my life... well, it's been crazy lately. Almost a month has passed since we moved to the new place but I'm still not used to it. I wake up everyday thinking we're still 10 minutes away from everything just to realize we're not, and then I have to always rush; my morning routines ruined; in the first few days I was almost always constantly late for work and school because I was used to having the bus station right at the bottom of the building where we used to live in; all the buses were accessible. From here, I have to walk at least 5 minutes to the closest bus station that goes directly to work or school, otherwise I have to transfer buses which take longer. There aren't any close-by stores like 7/11 or groceries. I'm used to buying breakfast right before catching the bus to school or work, but here, its impossible. I don't know. Maybe I need a few more weeks to get used to this.

On another note, I'm having a little unearthing of feelings being able to have new friends, getting reunited with an old one, and then getting closer with another. I feel refreshed and I see more possibilities. In this world, finding real friends have become quite rare, and being the anti-social that I am (yep, that' right), it's even more difficult. Aside from Penguin and Desiree who's miles away from me, there are only a few others that I can actually consider for real, Chezka included. Sadly, I had to learn this from bitter experiences. So with that, it's better to start keeping.

Apart from the above, this month consisted of a few interesting happenings: Penguin and I celebrated our 5th anniversary (which you can read about here); Did the last event project that I'll ever have to do for college; partied with my classmates possibly for the first and last time ever, where  unexpectedly Penguin and I enjoyed, and went nuts over the excess food, taking home boxes of pizza because we just had too much; Went on a spontaneous excursion to Hong Kong where I went all out and decided to just spend the amount that I planned to save for the trip this summer; and... got to watch a burlesque show which cost $7800 a table as perks of the job. I tell you we have an awesome boss, though I wish he'd do this kind of incentives more often, ha!

Anyway, this post has become a lot longer than expected. I just had to rant. But I'm stopping now and leaving you to enjoy the rest of the photos after the jump. Click below to see!

Hipster with a twist

Can't get enough of this vest! Anything I top it off with instantly becomes street appropriate. Case in point - this outfit. The booty shorts plus the shapewear alone would have been too daring for me, not that I wish I could drop the cover up; I'm simply insecure with my upper. Adding a cool vintage vest did the trick. But let's focus on the main character of this post - Sarah the shapewear.

Of course Sarah is from Vedette, the one and only. And Like the previous (here), this one is also really comfortable. What it does basically is it hugs your body perfectly like it does mine, and firms your tummy so you don't see those unwanted bulges in the middle. It's made out of nylon, pandex/lycra, cotton, and polyester, so it actually very breathable in. The only thing I kind of have a problem with is that it's difficult to put on because it's hooked from the back; I usually have to ask someone else to help me out whenever I have to wear it. Other than that, I feel like I'm just wearing sexy tank top.

Like a Boss

That's just how I roll! =)
Finally found my dream pants and the most breezy top that I can feel comfortable in. Been searching the net for a pair of striped skinnies but those that I found we're either out of stock or didn't match my search criteria. This proves right that I can always find what I want and need at H&M (they should make me ambassador, ha!). As for the top, I swear I'm getting a few more of this for my summer wardrobe; and if the budget doesn't allow, might just go nuts and trim some of my tees. They're bound to be a hot weather staple.

I'm finally starting to be a little more collected these days; with all the school projects done and gone, only 3 exams left, and a better schedule at work, I can now hang loose. Its time to focus on bigger and more important projects that don't involve grades and lectures; something a little more of my interest. Surely, I can make time.

First up ahead is project vacation. It's a done deal and I'm going to Singapore. Booked the tickets already and currently planning the itinerary. But that's not yet it. Of course, summer won't be complete without sun, sea, and sand, so there's bound to be a project beach destination. Will update you when it's final so stay tuned.

The second and more important project is project business; yes, you read it right, Penguin and I will be opening our own business. But it's not like I've never hinted about it before. It has always been the first and foremost plan right after college, though a little delayed than I expected. But given that my resources and time are limited, there's really no other option. Butttttt... Here's a promise that I'm going to commit to this and by the end of the year, I'll make sure to have it already launched. You'll be hearing more about this soon!

Anyway, that's all for now. Here's to hoping everything works out.

The Anniversary

Hey ya'll. Was finally able to sort out the photos from the anniversary (like there's a lot, yeah). No, but because we took out Penguin's camera instead of mine. So he had the copies and I wasn't able get them until late. Anyway, nothing much. But like I said, we only celebrated simply; went to the movies and saw the new Iron Man; took a walk around San Malo, where I bought a pair of oxfords to change into since I'm not comfortable wearing chunky heels while strolling about the busy streets. I should have taken a photo then because I could swear the new pair seemed to be made as a perfect match for my little camera bag. But I'm jabbering so back to the point. We dined at Cafe Esplanada in Wynn, and afterwards, hung out for a bit at Penguins before calling it a night. It's a casual celebration but I guess what's important is that we were together, that's what matters.

Oh, in case you're wondering how long we've been together, well it's been 5 years. Yep, 5 wonderful and amazing years. No, we're not that old, what I always say. We just started out really young. Though come to think of it, time really flies. Seems it was only  few months ago that I did our 4th anniversary post (here), when we did almost the exat same thing and the photos were taken almost at the very exact same place. Maybe we can make a tradition out of it, wouldn't that be nice?

A Haul

As promised, here is a post featuring my latest acquisitions. It's been a while since I've felt so happy about shopping; clearly this is the month that I practically splurged and just went on purchasing things that I wanted without thinking. Not the first time that it happened but I'm just saying, it's been a long time since. As I type, I'm thinking about my nearly empty again bank account. But I can't help it. Having a fixed income coming in at the end of each month just made me go gaga. Chezka and I have finally finally booked our vacation tickets for the summer and because of that, I'm yet again almost broke. All worth the while. I'll tell you about the plans for the summer on another post because its too early to dwell on that. For now, allow me to share the pretty little things I recently acquired.
