Not So Usual
Ok, I'd like to say honestly I don't usually wear long skirts or maxi dresses. Although I love them, I'm always too chicken to try and sport this kinda look for everyday cos of several things: First is that I'm really petite and second is that my body is discouragingly disproportional. I've got a couple of maxi dresses cos my mom's shop sells and I get them for free, and I'd occasionally buy as well just for the sake of having but I barely wear them. On this particular day, courage struck me and had me finally do a shoot wearing one of my favorites that I got from my mom's shop.
I was thinking of a Spring look initially... like wear a fedora hat, sans black cardigan and topped with an oversized cropped top instead, worn with high gladiator heels or sandals. But I failed miserably when I tried the look I imagined at home. I was running late and didn't have a lot of time left to think of something else so I just got my black cardi (which is much overeused as I've been using it for the whole week already - it goes with almost anything), and my boots to boost. I hope I did the dress some justice cos its been hanging in my closet since last summer, only once used.
Enjoy the rest of the week darlings!
Cheers
Carla Violet

i feel the same way - i'm short and curvy, so i feel like maxi dresses just make me look shorter and curvier. not exactly what i'm going for! i think you've worn the whole long-skirt trend perfectly, though - by having it hit mid calf, it's not overwhelming at all.
ReplyDeleteCool outfit!
