DIY - floral skirt
Hello lovely darlings. If you've read my previous post, you now that I've been busy trying to make garments with my new sewing machine. Well, in this post, I'm presenting another one of my DIYs - this floral skirt! I've had the fabric for quite some time now, and have actually done the pattern for the skirt last summer as I've been obessesing over floral skirts then. I badly wanted to have one and thought of making myself but back then I didn't have a sewing machine. I was able to make one skirt (very similar to this one I'm wearing as I used the same pattern) and if I remember correctly, wear it once for a lookbook shoot (when I still had a lookboko account). But because I hand-sewn it, the quality was unbearable. This time, I was able to make it in a better!
Immediately I had to wear it for an outfit post (yes, I'm excited!). And I have lots ideas as to what I'll be doing next. I'll limit my rantings over my DIY's though, cos if I continue on being like this, I'm afraid my blog would turn into a DIY blog, which is not what I intend for it to be (not that I'm against DIY blogs or anything...).
Well, I leave you with this darlings and have a great weekend!!!
Edit: I just realized, I reckon if I'll ever make a collection, albeit full of floral prints... starting with this and the floral dress from my previous post.
Cheers,
Carla Violet

I love this ! :) the fabric, the pattern, the outfit. I'm right this instant, looking for nice floral skirts, since most of mine are solid colors or things like polka dots and houndstooth. I need springtime clothes. I have a sewing machine but am just too lazy. And I think I forget about it, sadly.

ReplyDeleteI tried to make a dress myself once. That turned out to be rather... different. I have no clue where it is now, I guess I threw it away out of anger because I couldn't make it the way I wanted to :)
