Happy Valentines Day!
Happy hearts day darlings! Has your day been filled with love? My day sure has.
But let me tell you something: Penguin and I celebrated Valentines day in advanced. It's not that we're too excited, but plainly because it's impossible to get a dinner reservation on Valentine's night in any good restaurant - everywhere is fully booked! We had dinner last night instead, and boy, it wasn't just dinner; it was super dinner! We tried the Grand Buffet at Grand Lisboa, well known for having the "longest buffet line", if I'm not mistaken, in all Asia. It lives up to its name, I tell you (longest line!). First, even on a Monday night, it was packed! We already booked a table in advanced but when we got there, we still had to queue before being seated. It was literally the longest line of people waiting I've ever seen, waiting to be seated at a buffet (or any restaurant for that matter). In fact, I got really pissed, I mean, what's the point of getting a reservation if you'll have to queue up when you get there anyway? I was hungry. Their service completely sucked! However, the food - it was worth lining up for. Everything I tried was simply delicious. The buffet line stretched beginning from one entrance of the restaurant to another. I wish I took pictures but we weren't able to, as we both were too busy trying out everything that we could. There was Japanese cuisine, Indian, Chinese, Mongolian Barbecues, American Steaks, Thailand... oh, I can't remember all. If you follow my instagram posts, you must have seen my dessert plate!
Oh we ate so much that I can hardly breathe on the way back home. I couldn't help it, you know. We really cheated with our diets and gone nuts. At least, it was a really different experience for us (getting high on food). I don't think I'll ever eat that much again, but it was worthwhile. Anyway, that's about our pre-valentines celebration, and this is what I wore on our crazy dinner date. Today, we kept it simple: watched a movie at his crib and ordered some take away. How did your day go?
Cheers, Carla
p.s. I'll show you what Penguin got for me for Valentines in my next post. Stay tuned!

Mmm that food sounds delicious, but i completely understand, making a reservation and still having to wait is ridiculous. And i'm mean when i'm hungry!
ReplyDeleteI loove your red pants and the double sweaters going on, such a good idea to wear a cardigan and then another sweater. And your shoes are pretty awesome too. Happy heart day :)
