One Central
It's the one shopping mall I barely go to. People like me would be intimidated. If you must know, real shopping in Macau is only for people with money; there's only one shopping center that properly fits the description of a mall, though I doubt anyone can find everything, if not anything, that they want/need there and prices are still way beyond the normal range of affordable. The rest are otherwise shopping centers inside hotels and casinos. One Central is an exception - yes, its' a mall standing on its own, but you see what kind. Continuing the shoot for Penguin's project, we paid a visit. Side purpose, he wanted to check out a few Louis Vuitton items on his wishlist. As expected, it was a little embarrassing to go inside shops and look around. There were very little people inside all of the stores, almost empty, and whenever we entered, sales people would all turn to look which was a little awkward (you know that feeling?) knowing that we weren't planning to buy at all. Nothing against designer brands. In fact I love them. But right now, can't afford. Someday. Haha. That aside, it was fun looking around and taking pics. A little touristy advice, right outside One Central is the best place to get a good view of the sea, the Macau-Taipa bridge and, Macau Tower (demonstrated above, haha).
Cheers, Carla

great look! love your trousers and jacket!
ReplyDeleteI hate to admit this, but I always get intimidated by high-class shopping malls like that. I feel like when I'm there, every corner of the building will make me feel so small. Huhu
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit, Ms. Carla. It looks so androgynous. I like the pop of red! :-)
