Rough but Sweet

The other night, Penguin and I were headed to a party at the Venetian. While waiting for him, I had the chance to window-shop for a few minutes really without an intention to buy anything. But I saw this pair of crochet shorts on the rack containing "last piece" items. I was like "what?". I had to have them! The thing is, I think I've mentioned this before, that I've been wanting somewhat a pair of lace shorts for so long now. I was planning on getting one from Oasap but I wasn't sure of the size as most of their stuff run on one size only. Another option was pull & bear, though the pair that they had was extremely sheer (you can say plain lace, really, with very very thin lining). To say the least, I couldn't find the one. Now this pair, I thought, was the closest that I could get to a pair of lace shorts, and actually even better. First, because they aren't as sheer as the previous ones I've seen, and second, because I think they're less romantic but more hippie or bohemian than a lace pair. 

So today I wore this new acquisition. I hadn't actually planned on doing so, though I had it hanged on my closet at the most convenient place just in case I changed my mind. This morning, I completely forgot that I was on for morning shift, which was at 7 in the morning. I woke up suddenly realizing that I had to be at work in fifteen minutes. You can imagine my panic that I didn't have time to choose a proper outfit and the least bit of make up on my face. Grabbed the first pieces of items I saw in my closet, and as i said I hanged this pair at a convenient place, it was what I was able to grab. Fortunately, when I took a look at myself in the mirror while I got changed into my uniform at work, I thought I didn't look so bad. It's funny cause when I have enough time to prepare, I spend so much looking at my closet because almost everyday I don't know what to wear. I try so hard. But I've come to realize that when I'm in a rush, I can actually put up pretty cool outfits without knowing or thinking about it. Lesson learned: I think it's better not to try so hard. Haha.

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. While I love weekends, I'm more excited for this week and the next coming to be over. Soon I can have my freedom and it's travel trave travel time! But until then, I can only say goodnight for now!
