Sunday's Best

It may be routinely but Sundays with the family always make for the best weekends. Fooling around with my brothers, cheat day on my diet, best of all playing dress up - a day I get to be fully myself. On this Suday we had special lunch at a Portuguese cafe in Taipa. I guess mom was rather in a good mood, and being off for the whole day, decided we had enough time to eat at a fine dine place. Couldn't have turned out finer. The food was great and so was the service. The staff who served us was actually a regular customer of mom's store, whom she recognized. Kudos - definitely recommending this place to you guys if you ever come to Macau.  

Spent the rest of the afternoon back home, watching movies with dad while I multi-tasked between projects, blogging, and helping the little brothers with homework and music. The best part is that mom cooked dinner, which she rarely ever does. I've gotten used to not eating anything rice or pasta for dinner but for mom's homemade chicken curry, I had to make and exception. Can't miss out on that!

The blazer though, is another story. I went thrifting with mom and my aunt a few weeks ago and spotted this green, too-big-for-my-size blazer. I thought it was perfect as it is, and told mom I was gunna get it. She practically laughed at me, said it was ugly, even challenged me to really wear it, as if I was joking. But when I did wear it for Sunday's OOTD, she asked me "where did you get that blazer?". It's funny she couldn't remember it. I told her it was what she was laughing at a few weeks ago when we were at the store. All she could say was, "oh, actually it doesn't look so bad, just a little big on you". Haha. Pieces really can be deceiving. I'm glad I didn't listen to her opinion the first time, or my outfit of the day wouldn't be a little out there with a vintage statement-color blazer.
