Hazy Summer

Finally got to style this dress and feature it here. I've had it in my closet since forever but couldn't find the right time to wear it. Guess it's the insecurity I've always had with my arms which is why I refrain from wearing sleeveless clothing. As much as possible, I'd wear a jacket to cover up. But the heat has become unbearable the past few days, which making it difficult to conceal whatever flaws I have/hate about my body. I mean what the heck, why not flaunt them if it meant comfort and ease. We all have to deal with our imperfections one way or another  and this is how I should deal with mine - acceptance. Wouldn't want to waste what I spent on the muscle tees I recently purchased now, do I?

Now I digress. How do you spice up a dress that is almost perfect in print, colors, and cut, that is already an outfit on its own? Add a denim vest/jacket of course! My affinity for denim seem to grow everyday that I find it hard not to wear them with almost everything. Can't help it. You have to agree, they can be the ultimate go-to piece if you need to toughen up a sweet look; give edge to an otherwise boring outfit; or perhaps add a masculine touch to a very feminine outfit. Much like a biker jacket, but less tough, more subtle. If you don't have yet, it's about time to get one!
