Sun, Wind, and Sapphire
[Sweater: Romwe, c/o catsuit-latex][Skirt : Forever21][Jacket : Black Moss][Boots : Forever21][Necklace : Gift][Bag : Nessa]
After endless posts crammed with, except for Penguin's, otherwise ineptly-taken photos of the festivities during Hong Kong Fashion Week, I'm finally back on track with an outfit to share. Forgive me. Not. But surely you understand what it is like to experience firsts, which, if you must know, is exactly my case. But don't fret; I'm done reeling it all in... and until the next season's shows, I will refrain from discussing this topic any further, unless one miraculously insists.
So back on point.
Can somebody please explain to me how is it possible that Macau's weather these days is disgustingly cold and sunny at the same time? I'm forever astonished, despite the fact that it never fails to make me resentful simultaneously. I mean, don't get me wrong; I enjoy putting on a bikini to frolic under the sun (read: vacationing at a beach somewhere during the summertime) just as much as I love gearing up in multiple layers for the holidays in wintertime. But how does one dress for such a bipolar weather where if a) you wear too little the wind could blow you frozen and b) you wear too much and the heat would cause you to itch all over. Evidently and for the nth period, I wasn't prepared. My excitement to wear the few items I picked up from Forever 21 got in the way of me making a rational decision to wear weather-appropriate layers. And so I shiver for two reasons.
But...
As much as I complain wardrobe-wise, I must admit that days like these make it so much easier to take outfit photos (Is it really the weather or did I recently have a change of taste in warm versus high contrasted images? Well, let's not stray); one can diverge from associating winter fashion to dull/gray days because somehow, sun rays are deceiving. And let's be honest; unless you're experiencing a supposedly California type of weather where it's acceptable to wear short-shorts with leather cowboy boots all-year round, it's downright ridiculous to prance around in knee-highs just to look good for the photos in the summer, where in Macau's case, is the only time the sun is ever up. So in this case, one advantage for the taking.
Anyway, here's the rest of the photos from this set.
Oh, and excuse the hair. If the wind had a personality, it'd be a nasty bitch.
Gorgeous outfit, I really really LOVE your skirt, it's so beautiful :)
