Excuses, Excuses
[Skirt : Zara][Boots : Forever21][Sweater : Rowme, c/o catsuit-latex][Jacket : Pull & Bear][Bag : Local Store]
Please excuse my excuses for my short absence from this little corner of cyberspace. The fact is that (major excuse #1) work has completely devoured me, especially during these past few days; I barely had time to look at myself in the mirror because of the long hours spent, if not stranded behind a desk, running around with heavy luggage in tow. So what if it wasn't part of the job I signed up or, right? In the service world, we're nothing but little potatoes in the Chinese term, who can't disagree.
As it is, (major excuse #2) I've lost all sense of time management, or in this case I think time itself. Nothing for anything, which meant no time for proper dress ups, heck even time to go home, eat a decent meal, and sleep on my own bed, so let alone take photographs. I don't even blame the weather because in fact it's been perfect all week; decided to be just right when I was busy and all-time preoccupied. Always a great job, mother earth!
Sigh.
Anyway, rants aside. I have a confession to make.
Remember when I said I've been reading the Divergent books, and that I was hooked (from this post)? Well... I kind of feel like I'm cheating on you guys if I didn't tell you now that - sorry to spoil it all - I'm very disappointed as to how it ended. Ooops...
But I am. I mean I didn't lie at all that the first two books got me hooked and it's a no-brainer that they became a hit. But Allegiant felt like it was finished in a rush; so much didn't make sense, as if it was detached from the first two series. I don't know. I won't go into details but then if you've already started reading Divergent or Insurgent, carry on. Just don't expect a good ending.
Oh well, I guess that's it for tonight. And finally... finally... I'm off on a weekend! What better thing to do than make the best out of it starting right now!
Cheers!
You look gorge, as always! Love the quality of your pics btw. And I haven't been reading my blog list in a while I've been so busy with school, but I just wanted to compliment you as well on your blog's layout! Love the color scheme on the side bar. Keep it up Carla! <3

ReplyDeleteAw man, don't tell me it doesn't end well! I've got to get back to this series and read the other two books..
ReplyDeleteAnyway, sheesh, sounds like you've had an insane work schedule Carla! Relax and unwind this weekend girl, it sounds like you need it.

I love the texture of your sweatshirt! And I've heard poor reviews about Allegiant as well. Sometimes I wondering if the authors are pushed by their publishers to meet a deadline so they can't be as thoughtful about their writing, which is a little sad. Anyway, I'm going to stop at the second book. :)
