Fast-forward to November and I'm looking as haggard as ever. Forgive me for being a little out of shape these days but I think this situation won't get any better anytime soon. And as much as I'd like to give you a play by play on the deets, I'd better decided to keep this blog isolated from all the drama I'm having in my life at the moment. This is supposed to be my happy place, the one thing I do that I fully enjoy and I'm good at, my beautiful haven. And I'd like to keep it that way.

So as it is.

Here I am, make-up-less post Halloween, strolling the streets on a casual Saturday with Penguin. If there's one thing that's good about this week is getting to spend the whole weekend with people that truly matter. Trust me, that hardly ever comes around anymore - Friday night with the girlfriends, Saturday with the boyfriend, and Sunday with the family. That makes up for at least a good start of November, doesn't it? What with this being my birth-month and all, The very least I deserve to have is a few days of good time 'til turning the big 24. Then can the drama continue.

But speaking of birthday, my dear parents got me the ultimate love present this year (and so did Penguin but that's reserved for another post). Can you guess what it is? If not well, here's a clue: it's red, studded, I'm wearing it, and I've coveted it for as long as I can remember. Don't have to guess much, no? Cravings fully satisfied. It's safe to say that my family and Penguin definitely know me too, too well. I'm officially considering myself spoiled. What else can be a better reason than this to celebrate?
