And I'm back with an outfit post. But first off, allow me to greet you lot once and for all a Happy Chinese New Year. While I'm all Chinese by papers, my family and I don't participate much in the traditional festivities brought about by the occasion. Instead we enjoy the long weekends and/or holidays that we rarely get on regular days, either by staying in and relaxing in the comfort of our home, or taking a mini vacation.
Ideally, Penguin and I would go to Hong Kong to visit our usual shopping spots. However, these days I don't quite feel the need to acquire more clothes when my wardrobe is overflowing with too much already and so, no plans. But of course, there's more to Hong Kong that just shopping so maybe, just maybe, there's a chance that we might decide to hop on a ferry for a quick excursion or so. Let' s see.
Now that's been said, let's talk about this outfit.
I've always wanted to don a denim on denim ensemble but felt that I never had the right pieces to combine. You'll probably agree with me on this when I say it's difficult to find the right shade of two denims to go with each other. So it had to take a few acquisitions from Forever 21 and my mom's wholesale supplier later for me to finally have a denim jacket and skinnies in the same blue shade. Et voila!
This was what I wore to a casual night of dinner and catching up with my friends. I'm all for comfortable when I picked out the shoes as we had originally planned to do some walking up the hills to shoot. But we got sidetracked along the way and ended up chilling outside a resto bar, which wasn't so bad either.
Anyway, thoughts? Let me know!

ReplyDeleteGong Xi Fa Cai! :) We do celebrate Chinese new year with a big banquet, but not always on the correct day - whatever day works best for the whole family. Usually the weekend after :) It's nice to celebrate in your own way :)
ReplyDeleteYour beanie looks so cute with the denim too! :)
