Vaison La Romaine

Taking you back to sunny Southern France with more photos from our short visit to the little town of Vaison la Romaine. One of the best things about being visiting old villages is being able to know about its history and how it came about. This particular village is one of those I could only imagine seeing in movies, particularly the cite medieval; the stone-paved walkways, cute cafes and creperies along the sidewalks; charming old inns almost unrecognizable from behind stone walls covered in greeneries. Simply enchanting.

Vaison la Romaine per se is very charming with its colourful stores offering literally everything quaint, from handmade pots to potions to sweets and handmade soaps. The best part is is le comptoir de Mathilde and its wide range of flavoured hot chocolate drinks. I just had to buy every single flavour I took fancy of to take back home with me. I wish I could have brought back home a piece of everything inside Mathilde's store though sadly I had very little space left in my luggage to store anything else. Oh well, all the more reason to go back to Southern France.

Hope you all had an amazing Christmas break!
