Abstract
I don't even know how to begin with the weather, just look at these photos and you'll probably understand. Days like these, I just wanna wrap myself up in a blanket and curl up in bed. But then I only get the weekends off and so as much as I'd like to do that, it's mandatory that I get up and get out of the house.
Anyway enough rant about Macau's non-existent Spring. Let's talk about how much I've turned into an oversized menswear pieces loving creature. I've always liked taking inspiration from the boy's department and incorporating them into my outfits but how I got into actually buying everything from the other side is beyond me. A few years ago, I would have never thought this outfit is "cute" nor "cool" because it's not something that your average "fashionable" or "stylish" girl would wear. Discovering my personal style took a while because I was too afraid to let go of what is considered normal for girls to wear in a society where everyone expects you to be in pink body-hugging dresses and high heels all day. But that changed as soon as I rebelled against the thought that you can't ever please society.
My key to putting outfits together has always been the same: Comfort. While I keep up with the latest fashion trends, I don't always jump into the bandwagon just because "fashun". It has to be something that I can really, really wear. And so when I get into one, I get damn obsessed. Streetwear, which is sadly still widely marketed towards men, has me by the throat at that. I mean, what isn't more comfortable than oversized T-shirts, trousers, boxy outerwear, and sneakers? Regardless of how ridiculously designed or the lack of design thereof, the pieces make for the coolest looks when put together. The point is not even the pieces alone, it's how they're worn.
Et Voila, here I am 6 years of blogging and discovering my personal style later, wearing the most "unstylish" outfit yet I feel pretty damn "cool".
