BTS and blog talk with Calvin Sit

In case you're wondering what this BTS photos are all about, my lips are sealed until I see the final results so you'll have to forgive me for not telling just yet. I just wanted to share a little sneak-peek hoping to get you guys as excited as I am.

But how I managed to wake up early after a super long night at work to attend this shoot is beyond me. For something you love doing, I think everything is possible. And that's something I was reminded of that very day when Calvin, our photographer for the day, couldn't believe just how committed Penguin and I are in maintaining this blog, in an international standard might I add.

It's true, though I never paid much attention to the amount of time and effort we both do put in to keep this little "hobby" running. If you must know, I am not a full-time blogger and as much as I'd love to, blogging for a living in Macau is just not possible, at least not yet even after doing this for over 6 years already. When I tell people about my blog, I get two types of reactions and neither are good: either they don't understand why I do it, or they think it's something so easily done that anyone who knows how to use the internet can create a blog.

It's one thing to create a blog and it's another keeping it up and running. Sure, you can take as many photos as you want with whatever camera you have, upload them, type in a few words, and call it a day. Then why bother, you can do that on Facebook? The very reason I don't talk about my blog so much is exactly because of this - I don't want to have to explain. 

But let's break it down while we are already on this topic. First of all, there's a certain style standard that you have to establish - image quality, posting schedule, topics, voice, and all that. Then there's consistency but before you get to that, I guarantee you'd have already lost patience and confidence in yourself. Soon you'll realize it's a whole new lifestyle that you have to fully commit to, like being vegan. And then when you get the hang of it, it becomes easier but surely you don't just stop there? There's trends to follow, a global audience to keep up with, it doesn't end there. So to sum it all up, it's not easy, but it's rewarding. And I love it.

Now back to this shoot - Calvin was kind enough to let Penguin to take these BTS for my personal use so here they are. I do hope it's alright for me to share though because I'm not really sure I'm allowed to or not. But well here they are anyway. I pinky promise to tell you about it as soon as the result is out. You can take a guess, it's quite easy but I still want to be the first to tell you so stay tuned!
