Basically Summer-Ready in Versatile Basics | April Lookbook VIDEO

I don't know about ya'll but I'm definitely feeling the Summer heat over here in Macau where I currently am. It's only fitting that I wear more weather-appropriate outfits from now, kicking off with this look wearing some of the most versatile pieces from my wardrobe.

In case you haven't noticed, this top has been featured here so many times already - layered or standalone. It's one of those tops that I constantly reach for when it's not in the laundry because it just goes with everything. I'm probably going to have to buy a replacement for it sometime soon as its color is wearing off and the material is getting thinner by the day.

These trousers are also one of those pieces that I grab when I need a quick outfit change to run to the groceries or quick lunch with Penguin. It goes with a lot of other items from my closet so it's ridiculously easy to style for any weather.

We took these photos on the last day of April as a last minute addition to my April Lookbook video because we didn't get to film a lot throughout the month due to the weather - it was either raining cats and dogs or extremely hot to be frolicking under the sun for longer than 10 minutes (which is only enough for photos, really). I know, I can do better than that, it's a lame excuse. Perhaps I'm just really too irritated to move around to much when it's hot out - if you know me personally, you'd know that Summer is not my favourite season unless I'm under a beach umbrella in my swimsuit with a cocktail on hand at a beach somewhere then that's a different story. But otherwise, Summer in this city? Nah, I don't do that shiz.

May is a special month because this is the month that Pierre and I go on adventures and try new experiences and this year, we don't plan on doing any less.
