Hello, Montenegro! We meet again!

Hello, strangers! Before we get started with this lengthy post, allow me to share yet another excuse as to why I have seemingly abandoned this corner of cyberspace already. Nope, I haven't. The excuse is pure lack of content to share with you guys. I think I have dedicated all of my energy towards work lately that there's barely anything left for creating content. But I'm slowly getting back into it, specially after having spent this weekend in Montenegro which brought back all of the happy memories I had with Chezka, running around Sveti Stefan in between working hours just to squeeze in a photo session to create content for our blogs, I was fired up from within and suddenly I felt that urge to create once again.

So here we are with some of the visuals I managed to snag while spending the free hours I had before work officially began during my stay. If you must know, just like the last time I was there, it was for work. Jet-lag hit me bad that I was always up earlier than sunrise. Using it to my benefit, I made sure to use that time well and re-explore the Adriatic coastline. 

It's off season in the Balkan countryside which can be a really good thing or a bad thing. As far as crowd is concerned, I'm happy to report that there aren't any which to me is a good thing because I didn't have to worry much of getting caught while taking self-timed photos of myself. The downside to being there off season is that there aren'y any restaurants open so my only choice of sustenance were the food served in the restaurant in Maestral, the resort I was staying at. Not that it wasn't good - it wasn't bad. But the restaurants by the beach serve some of the most appetising seafood that I could remember and not having those as options was just kind of a bummer. 

Now, a visit to Montenegro wouldn't really be complete without seeing the famous Aman Sveti Stefan. Fortunately for me, it's only a few minutes hike away from the resort I was staying at. With a bit of time before sunrise and my day begins, I made it a point to check out this magnificent island and recreate the photos that Chezka and I took when we were there last.

It felt so relaxing to be alone at that very moment, surrounded by nature, hearing nothing but the sound of the waves crashing as it hit shore, and the birds chirping away. Serenity at its finest. For the first time since Jeju, I felt calm and relaxed. I guess being one with Mother Nature is really all that you need when you're stressed and exhausted.

Then after, it's work pretty much for the rest of the day. To be honest, I find travelling for work quite exhausting. But at the same time I can never complain knowing that some would call me very lucky to be able to see different places and experience new things. There's a few more work trips lined up and just thinking about them gives me anxiety because it means that there's a lot of work to be done. But I'm going to take this in a very positive way and make the most out of these trips, enjoying myself while I'm at it. Here's to more work and play travels this year!
